How to turn ASDA’s Free From Brownie Mix into Chocolate and Raspberry Micro Muffin or Tarts
I blogged earlier this week about our fabulous weekend away at the Allergy Blog Awards 2017 in Manchester. If you caught the post you’ll also know that I’m offering two bumper goodie boxes stuffed with free from products including lots of delicious foods from ASDA who were the primary sponsors for this years event. if you missed it, fear not, follow this link to my post to be in with a chance to get your hands on one of the prizes (T&C’s apply)
Now those of you who follow me will know only too well by now that I really struggle to stick to the baking instructions, I can’t help it, my imagination runs wild. Well on this occasion I’ve not been too whacky but believe me, if I had Chambord ( a French black raspberry liquor) in the house there would be a few drops of it in these little beauties to pack them with a delicious punch!
Introducing my Micro Brownie & Raspberry Muffins and Warm Chocolate & Raspberry Tarts served with coconut yogurt. The tarts would have got a slug of Chambord for that touch of decadence ideal for a dinner party dessert.
The method is simple;
One packet of ASDA Free From Brownie mix is all that is needed to make approximately 24 micro muffins or 6 tarts. Follow the instructions on the packet; add 45g dairy free butter, 2 eggs, 1 tbsp water and mix…that’s it.
For the micro muffins I popped a raspberry into the middle of the mixture. For the tarts I used my trusty loose bottomed fluted tins and made a pretty little pattern onto out of raspberries. Had I added the Chambord I would have used 1 tbsp of this instead of 1 tbsp of water….maybe a dribble more!
The micro muffins took 10 minutes to cook on the temperature suggested (180C/160C fan/ Gas 4) and the tarts took 12 minutes.
So there you have it, a super quick and simple way to liven up your ASDA Free From Brownie Mix and impress everyone without them needing to know how easy it was!
