Hands up who’s going to the Allergy Show in London next month (ME!) I’ve been two years now, both times with my lovely friend who emigrated to Canada, the first time was before she went, the second when she came back for a visit…does that make her the furthest travelled to go to the Allergy Show? I bet it would take some beating!

This year my lovely friend will not be joining me, I’ll be going on my own… I say ‘going’ on my own, when I get there I’ll be in the company of some of the most wonderful people I’ve ever had the fortune to know. Some I’ve never met face-to-face but consider to be old friends. We share so much in common, understand each others woes and rejoice in one another’s successes – WE ARE BLOGGERS!

I find these events can be overwhelming sometimes, if feels like you cannot see the wood for the trees, I’m not talking about the exhibits, those are amazing, everyone’s really friendly and there’s so much to learn. I’m talking about the sea of people, the hope you’ll bump into someone you know, follow on social media, admire. I recently went to the Free From Festival at Spitalfields Market, I had every intention of approaching people I recognised and telling them I read their work and found them inspiring…did I do it…did I heck! It’s not that I wasn’t looking, it’s just I couldn’t make anyone out in the crowds.

I’m going to give you the chance to come and say hello, not just to me but to a gaggle of bloggers you follow…I’m going to stand out in the crowd…I’m wearing a Pokemon Outfit!

JOKE!

I’m wearing deely boppers – not a joke! In fact, I’m popping over to Amazon to buy them now…bear with…

There you go, I’ll be wearing these! Now that’s out of the way and you think I’ve completely lost the plot, lets get onto why it’s so worth you going to the Allergy + Free From Show (not just to see me in these). There are 176 confirmed exhibitors on the day, 56 of which are food and drink stalls. The event covers every aspect of allergy possible and free from foods are in most cases super cheap to buy with show prices. The freebies you get on arrival are amazing and you can eat your way around the stalls with relative confidence [please do take heed if you have an allergy as cross-contamination can be quite impossible to prevent at events like this]

Everything you need to know is on the website, how to get there, where to eat, who’s who, timetable of talks and lots more..

One of our darling blogger friends Vicki from Free From Fairy will be exhibiting her free from flours;

Other bloggers meeting up on the day are; Sarah from The Gluten Free Blogger, Nath from Intolerant Gourmand, Midge from Peachicks Bakery, Chloe from The Adventures of an Allergy Mummy, Kate from Gluten Free Alchemist and Emma from Free From Farmhouse with more to be confirmed.

There are set times for talks on each day too and Emma will also be delivering a talk in relation to travelling with allergies as part of another exciting project she is heading with Allergy Travels. Vicki will be talking about her experience with starting up a business and her her Wholegrain Free From Flour and there’s a chance I may be speaking on the day too, I’ll confirm that closer to the time.

So maybe see you there…come up and say hi…so I don’t just look a prat in my deely boppers for nothing!
