Free From Spicy Recipes …. So this week it’s week 25 and my turn once again to host the foodie blogger round up called #CookBlogShare and last week’s entries just screamed this week’s spicy recipes theme inspired by Mexican, Thai and Indian cuisines.

For those of my followers not familiar with #CookBlogShare it’s a bit of a foodie hangout where we all basically show off our latest, greatest recipes and everyone one goes ‘oooh and ahhh’ at each others success (or in my case, thinks ‘bugger…why didn’t I think of that’!)

#CookBlogShare  is not an exclusively free from friendly zone but I guarantee that each week there are recipes added that are naturally free from, easily sub to be free from or loaded by peeps like myself or my gorgeous gaggle of free from bloggers so there will always be something there for you to try out.

Think of it as straying from the pre-ticked online weekly shop where you get the same food every week…this is your chance to do a little window shopping and tickle those tastebuds.

By the end of this week there will be a list of added recipes at the bottom of this post for you to drool over so please do make a note to come back, lets say Sunday morning if you have a mo…pop the kettle on, I will too and we can look together sipping a hot brew!

As I’ve said already, last weeks entries just said SPICE to me, so I sorted out the ones that are free from gluten, dairy and vegetarian too. Let’s begin.

Easy Thai Salad by Apply to Face Blog

Jenny added her Easy Thia Salad that was, well, err, easy! In fact so easy it’s inspired me to make it. Sadly in my household I seem to be the only one who’ll eat Thai spices and flavours so I never really bother as its just for me. That need not be the case now, I can make my Thai and eat it every night with this recipe and just add a side salad to create a fusion meal! Oh and as Jenny says, is can be tweaked easily to your taste so no need to blow the roof off your mouth.

Rajma Spiced Kidney Beans by Simple Gluten Free Kitchen

Neetu added her deliciously fragrant Rajma dish which as she explains is Hindi for Red Kidney Beans and the final dish has also been called Rajma too. Now Bethany and Lewis love kidney beans in my Hidden Veg Chilli so I’m rather hoping that I can get them to try this too as I’m always on the look out for new meals to add to our very limited menu. Fingers crossed this is well received Neetu, I’ll let you know.

5 Bean Chilli Recipe by Donna Dundas

Donna’s intro to her recipe for 5 Bean Chilli made me giggle, she said that whilst her family love a good chilli on carne, they all love to pick out the kidney beans and eat them on their own – we do the same. So, imagine a Mexican Chilli style dish that’s JUST BEANS woohoo! I will be making this but must make a mental note to open all the bedroom windows if you get what I mean.

Restaurant-Style Tomato Salsa by Flipped Out Food

Ooh, what’s this? A spicy recipe for salsa that works perfectly with a chilli. Michelle added here Tomato Salsa to the list and what I really, really love about it is not just how easy it is to make but it uses tinned tomatoes…tinned tomatoes! Why on earth have I not thought of doing this before. Personally I can see myself enjoying a bowl of this with a whole bag of tortilla chips and a cold glass of white wine. Even better, watching a film, any film with Ryan Reynolds in it (he’s going to marry me someday, he just doesn’t know it yet) Crikey, drifted off there, here’s the photo…

Here are a couple of my Spicy Recipe free from meals

I’ve already mentioned my Hidden Veggie Chilli and to be fair, there aren’t many spicy food recipes on my website a) because they’re not cake and b) because my kids are very unadventurous when it comes to food. But I do have a delicious Chutney Sausage Roll recipe packed with flavour and easily spiced up if you add more than the recommended mustard powder.
