Easy Gluten Free Porridge Pots Recipe

Ingredients

For Porridge Pots Base

  • 150 g gluten free oats blended into rough powder
  • 100 g whole gluten free oats
  • 50 g milk powder I use The Coconut Company
  • 50 g sugar

To make Spiced Apple version

  • 50 g dried apple cut into small pieces
  • 50 g hazelnuts chopped or blended
  • 1 tsp mixed spice

To make one portion (4tbsps of base)

  • 100 ml boiled water

Instructions

To make the porridge base

  • Blend the desired amount of gluten free oats until you have a rough gritty powder.
  • To a large bowl add the blended gluten free oats, whole gluten free oats, sugar and milk powder. Using a whisk mix thoroughly to combine.

To make Spice Apple Porridge Pots

  • Finely chop the dried apple slices/rings and add to the bowl of porridge base.
  • Crush, chop or blend the hazelnuts then add these along with the mixed spice to the bowl and mix again to blend
  • Finally add to a large 1 litre jar or Tupperware container or decant into individuals portion-sized jars (4tbsps per portion).

To prepare your Porridge Pot for eating

  • Add 100ml of boiled water (if making one portion) to the jar (if made individually) or your favourite bowl with 4tbsps of your prepared porridge base.
  • After 5mins give the porridge a stir and enjoy!
