I was impatiently awaiting the release of this book because we now live in Australia and English biscuits are almost impossible to find and when you do they are mega expensive. Also we are both gluten and dairy intolerant so it’s very rare you can find anything that’s remotely safe for us. I absolutely adore this book, have made fig rolls which hubby declared the best he has ever tasted (forget how they looked LOL) custard creams, bourbon and you wouldn’t be able to guess what they are garibaldi – looks really are not everything, taste is what counts and oh boy, they have all tasted amazing. Well worth the wait and so grateful I could buy the ebook as postage to Aus would be astronomical.

What an absolute ‘cracker’ of a book! So many recipes to try and some old favourites that I’ve missed, like fig biscuits, which I can’t wait to try! Just waiting now for a ‘baking window’ and there’ll be no stopping me.
Seriously, if you’re looking for a decent, sensible book about baking biscuits, or cookies, you need look no further. Lots of really helpful advice and explanations too, not just recipes.
