Two really easy dairy free ice cream recipes made with yogurt and chocolate milk. Just add sugar to taste. Makes 1ltr of Vanilla and 1ltr of Chocolate ice cream
to make the frozen yogurt simply add the yogurt and sugar to you ice cream maker and mix for 10 mins until the yogurt has thickened.
To make the chocolate ice cream add the milk, sugar and powder to the machine and turn on for 10-15 mins.
I use 2lb loaf tins for my ice creams, simply spoon the ice cream into the loaf tin and smooth the tops. Wrap in tin foil or clingfilm and pop into the freezer to freeze.
Pop the chocolate milk and yogurt in the freezer for 30mins before you make the ice creams. This will give you a head start!
Add ingredients to a large bowl and whisk to combine, pour into your loaf tins and cover with cling film or tin foil. Pop in the freezer. Set an alarm to sound in 30 mins.
After 30 mins take out the loaf tins and stir the ice cream with a skewer in a figure of eight motion, cover and return to the freezer, repeat every 30 mins until your ice cream has set.
You will need to remove the ice cream from the freezer for 20-30 mins before serving...unless you want to break your wrist!
